Take a look at this newspaper article from January 2023. This is one of the many reasons we need to stop using plastic pots as
quickly as possible, they will be outlawed soon enough as the single use plastic ban is expanded.
As the founder of Sweetlove Vending I have decided to use a non plastic pot for our vending machines for sweets which will
be offered to our wholesale customers.
If this is successful we hope to add a Pringles pot in the near future which will enable us to expand the range of products
available in our Pringles machines.
Deliveries of the new sweet pot are now arriving regularly, weare currently making the changes required to handle this new pot.
I have encouraged my trade customers to participate in the decisions required by opening a forum on our trade site to allow
them to give feedback and suggestions. Retail customers can join by request only by contacting us at Customer Service: 0330
111 4358 - email requests will be ignored.
The new pot is made from biodegradeable cardboard with a fixed bottom similar to the Pringles pot for 40g Pringles machines,
it has a removable cardboard lid which is partly fixed to allow easy removal.
Obviously the board is not transparent so a label showing the enclosed sweet will be applied to begin while we work towards
a more generic pot design.
To avoid staining from glazing agents used on many jelly confectionery, loose sweets will be packed in a biodegradeable
Plastic bag to start while a suitable paper bag is sourced.

As the new pot is solely manufactured in the UK we should not experience the delays we were getting with the
old plastic pot which was imported from Europe therefore avoiding the stop start production we had since Brexit.
